Mini-remodels: What could you do with $10,000?

ImageIf you had $10,000 to spend on touching up your outdated home before selling it, what would you prioritize?  Here are a few projects that might run you about that much in a small house, depending on who you call:

1) 10 new interior paneled doors with new door hardware, interior paint, new carpet.

2) Install new front and rear landscaping.

3) Install new double pane windows.

4) Fill in the old swimming pool and landscape over it.

5) Install a new front door, new door hardware, exterior painting and new front yard flowers/mulch.

6) Convert electric wall heaters into central forced heat.

7) Do a mini kitchen makeover (granite counters, new appliances, painted cabinets, new tile floors, new sink and faucet).

8) Do 1 bathroom remodel.

So, how would YOU prioritize?  How far could you stretch ten grand without it looking like “lipstick on a pig”?
